Handling:

CF Span strongly recommends using appropriate safety gloves (carbon slivers can be painful) and eye protection during ALL handling. Recommended precautions include wearing safety glasses, a dust respirator, and protective clothing when cutting, sanding or drilling, to limit exposure to dust, which is an irritant.

Cutting:

We recommend carbide tipped or industrial diamond coated tools for all cutting operations. Please see additional safety information below:

CARBONBAR™ DUST SAFETY:
Dust produced during cutting operations should not be inhaled. We suggest using a dust mask during cutting operations.

Further, dust generated during cutting is electrically conductive and as such can cause electrical shorts on power equipment. To mitigate this risk, we suggest cutting or sanding CarbonBar™ in conjunction with dust extraction and mitigation systems.
